17:2

히브리 וְשָׁא֤וּל וְאִֽישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ נֶאֶסְפ֔וּ וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּעֵ֣מֶק הָאֵלָ֑ה וַיַּעַרְכ֥וּ מִלְחָמָ֖ה לִקְרַ֥את פְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃

한글(개역) 사울과 이스라엘 사람들이 모여서 엘라 골짜기에 진치고 블레셋 사람을 대하여 항오를 벌였으니

17:3

히브리 וּפְלִשְׁתִּ֞ים עֹמְדִ֤ים אֶל הָהָר֙ מִזֶּ֔ה וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל עֹמְדִ֥ים אֶל הָהָ֖ר מִזֶּ֑ה וְהַגַּ֖יְא בֵּינֵיהֶֽם׃

한글(개역) 블레셋 사람은 이편 산에 섰고 이스라엘은 저편 산에 섰고 사이에는 골짜기가 있었더라

영어(KJV) And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and {there was} a valley between them.

17:4

히브리 וַיֵּצֵ֤א אִֽישׁ הַבֵּנַ֨יִם֙ מִמַּחֲנ֣וֹת פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים גָּלְיָ֥ת שְׁמ֖וֹ מִגַּ֑ת גָּבְה֕וֹ שֵׁ֥שׁ אַמּ֖וֹת וָזָֽרֶת׃

한글(개역) 블레셋 사람의 진에서 싸움을 돋우는 자가 왔는데 그 이름은 골리앗이요 가드 사람이라 그 신장은 여섯 규빗 한 뼘이요

영어(KJV) And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height {was} six cubits and a span.

17:5

히브리 וְכ֤וֹבַע נְחֹ֨שֶׁת֙ עַל רֹאשׁ֔וֹ וְשִׁרְי֥וֹן קַשְׂקַשִּׂ֖ים ה֣וּא לָב֑וּשׁ וּמִשְׁקַל֙ הַשִּׁרְי֔וֹן חֲמֵשֶׁת אֲלָפִ֥ים שְׁקָלִ֖ים נְחֹֽשֶֽׁת׃

한글(개역) 머리에는 놋투구를 썼고 몸에는 어린갑을 입었으니 그 갑옷의 중수가 놋 오천 세겔이며

영어(KJV) And {he had} an helmet of brass upon his head, and he {was} armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat {was} five thousand shekels of brass. {armed: Heb. clothed}

17:6

히브리 וּמִצְחַ֥ת נְחֹ֖שֶׁת עַל רַגְלָ֑יו וְכִיד֥וֹן נְחֹ֖שֶׁת בֵּ֥ין כְּתֵפָֽיו׃

한글(개역) 그 다리에는 놋경갑을 쳤고 어깨 사이에는 놋단창을 메었으니

영어(KJV) And {he had} greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders. {target: or, gorget}

17:7

히브리 וחץוחץוְעֵ֣ץחֲנִית֗וֹ כִּמְנוֹר֙ אֹֽרְגִ֔ים וְלַהֶ֣בֶת חֲנִית֔וֹ שֵׁשׁ מֵא֥וֹת שְׁקָלִ֖ים בַּרְזֶ֑ל וְנֹשֵׂ֥א הַצִּנָּ֖ה הֹלֵ֥ךְ לְפָנָֽיו׃

한글(개역) 그 창자루는 베틀 채 같고 창날은 철 육백 세겔이며 방패 든 자는 앞서 행하더라

영어(KJV) And the staff of his spear {was} like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head {weighed} six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him.

17:8

히브리 וַֽיַּעֲמֹ֗ד וַיִּקְרָא֙ אֶל מַעַרְכֹ֣ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לָהֶ֔ם לָ֥מָּה תֵצְא֖וּ לַעֲרֹ֣ךְ מִלְחָמָ֑ה הֲל֧וֹא אָנֹכִ֣י הַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֗י וְאַתֶּם֙ עֲבָדִ֣ים לְשָׁא֔וּל בְּרוּ לָכֶ֥ם אִ֖ישׁ וְיֵרֵ֥ד אֵלָֽי׃

한글(개역) 그가 서서 이스라엘 군대를 향하여 외쳐 가로되 `너희가 어찌하여 나와서 항오를 벌였느냐 ? 나는 블레셋 사람이 아니며 너희는 사울의 신복이 아니냐 ? 너희는 한 사람을 택하여 내게로 내려보내라

영어(KJV) And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set {your} battle in array? {am} not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.

17:9

히브리 אִם יוּכַ֞ל לְהִלָּחֵ֤ם אִתִּי֙ וְהִכָּ֔נִי וְהָיִ֥ינוּ לָכֶ֖ם לַעֲבָדִ֑ים וְאִם אֲנִ֤י אֽוּכַל לוֹ֙ וְהִכִּיתִ֔יו וִהְיִ֤יתֶם לָ֨נוּ֙ לַעֲבָדִ֔ים וַעֲבַדְתֶּ֖ם אֹתָֽנוּ׃

한글(개역) 그가 능히 싸워서 나를 죽이면 우리가 너희의 종이 되겠고 만일 내가 이기어 그를 죽이면 너희가 우리의 종이 되어 우리를 섬길 것이니라'

영어(KJV) If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us.
