헬라 εἴ τις δοκεῖ ἐγνωκέναι τι, οὔπω ἔγνω καθὼς δεῖ γνῶναι·

영어(KJV) But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

8:4

헬라 Περὶ τῆς βρώσεως οὖν τῶν εἰδωλοθύτων οἴδαμεν ὅτι οὐδὲν εἴδωλον ἐν κόσμῳ, καὶ ὅτι οὐδεὶς θεὸς εἰ μὴ εἷς.

헬라 καὶ γὰρ εἴπερ εἰσὶν λεγόμενοι θεοὶ εἴτε ἐν οὐρανῷ εἴτε ἐπὶ γῆς, ὥσπερ εἰσὶν θεοὶ πολλοὶ καὶ κύριοι πολλοί,

한글(개역) 그러나 우리에게는 한 하나님 곧 아버지가 계시니 만물이 그에게서 났고 우리도 그를 위하여 또한 한 주 예수 그리스도께서 계시니 만물이 그로 말미암고 우리도 그로 말미암았느니라

영어(KJV) But to us {there is but} one God, the Father, of whom {are} all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom {are} all things, and we by him. {in: or, for}

8:7

헬라 Ἀλλʼ οὐκ ἐν πᾶσιν ἡ γνῶσις· τινὲς δὲ τῇ συνηθείᾳ ἕως ἄρτι τοῦ εἰδώλου ὡς εἰδωλόθυτον ἐσθίουσιν, καὶ ἡ συνείδησις αὐτῶν ἀσθενὴς οὖσα μολύνεται.

한글(개역) 그러나 이 지식은 사람마다 가지지 못하여 어떤 이들은 지금까지 우상에 대한 습관이 있어 우상의 제물로 알고 먹는고로 그들의 양심이 악하여지고 더러워지느니라

영어(KJV) Howbeit {there is} not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat {it} as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.

8:8

헬라 βρῶμα δὲ ἡμᾶς οὐ παραστήσει τῷ θεῷ· οὔτε γὰρ ἐὰν φάγωμεν, περισσεύομεν, οὔτε ἐὰν μὴ φάγωμεν, ὑστερούμεθα.

한글(개역) 식물은 우리를 하나님 앞에 세우지 못하나니 우리가 먹지 아니하여도 부족함이 없고 먹어도 풍족함이 없으리라

영어(KJV) But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse. {are we the better: or, have we the more} {are we the worse: or, have we the less}

8:9

헬라 βλέπετε δὲ μή πως ἡ ἐξουσία ὑμῶν αὕτη πρόσκομμα γένηται τοῖς ἀσθενέσιν.

한글(개역) 그런즉 너희 자유함이 약한 자들에게 거치는 것이 되지 않도록 조심하라

영어(KJV) But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. {liberty: or, power}

8:10

헬라 ἐὰν γάρ τις ἴδῃ σὲ τὸν ἔχοντα γνῶσιν ἐν εἰδωλείῳ κατακείμενον, οὐχὶ ἡ συνείδησις αὐτοῦ ἀσθενοῦς ὄντος οἰκοδομηθήσεται εἰς τὸ τὰ εἰδωλόθυτα ἐσθίειν;

한글(개역) 지식 있는 네가 우상의 집에 앉아 먹는 것을 누구든지 보면 그 약한 자들의 양심이 담력을 얻어 어찌 우상의 제물을 먹게 되지 않겠느냐

영어(KJV) For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; {emboldened: Gr. edified}

8:11

헬라 ἀπόλλυται γὰρ ὁ ἀσθενῶν ἐν τῇ σῇ γνώσει, ὁ ἀδελφὸς διʼ ὃν Χριστὸς ἀπέθανεν.

한글(개역) 그러면 네 지식으로 그 약한 자가 멸망하나니 그는 그리스도께서 위하여 죽으신 형제라

영어(KJV) And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?

8:12

헬라 οὕτως δὲ ἁμαρτάνοντες εἰς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς καὶ τύπτοντες αὐτῶν τὴν συνείδησιν ἀσθενοῦσαν εἰς Χριστὸν ἁμαρτάνετε.

한글(개역) 이같이 너희가 형제에게 죄를 지어 그 약한 양심을 상하게 하는 것이 곧 그리스도에게 죄를 짓는 것이니라

영어(KJV) But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

8:13

헬라 διόπερ εἰ βρῶμα σκανδαλίζει τὸν ἀδελφόν μου, οὐ μὴ φάγω κρέα εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα, ἵνα μὴ τὸν ἀδελφόν μου σκανδαλίσω.

한글(개역) 그러므로 만일 식물이 내 형제로 실족케 하면 나는 영원히 고기를 먹지 아니하여 내 형제를 실족치 않게 하리라

영어(KJV) Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.
