히브리 וַיִּקְצֹ֣ף פַּרְעֹ֔ה עַ֖ל שְׁנֵ֣י סָרִיסָ֑יו עַ֚ל שַׂ֣ר הַמַּשְׁקִ֔ים וְעַ֖ל שַׂ֥ר הָאוֹפִֽים׃

히브리 וַיִּתֵּ֨ן אֹתָ֜ם בְּמִשְׁמַ֗ר בֵּ֛ית שַׂ֥ר הַטַבָּחִ֖ים אֶל בֵּ֣ית הַסֹּ֑הַר מְק֕וֹם אֲשֶׁ֥ר יוֹסֵ֖ף אָס֥וּר שָֽׁם׃

한글(개역) 그들을 시위대장의 집 안에 있는 옥에 가두니 곧 요셉의 갇힌 곳이라

영어(KJV) And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph {was} bound.

40:4

히브리 וַ֠יִּפְקֹד שַׂ֣ר הַטַּבָּחִ֧ים אֶת יוֹסֵ֛ף אִתָּ֖ם וַיְשָׁ֣רֶת אֹתָ֑ם וַיִּהְי֥וּ יָמִ֖ים בְּמִשְׁמָֽר׃

한글(개역) 시위대장이 요셉으로 그들에게 수종하게 하매 요셉이 그들을 섬겼더라 그들이 갇힌지 수일이라

영어(KJV) And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them: and they continued a season in ward.

40:5

히브리 וַיַּֽחַלְמוּ֩ חֲל֨וֹם שְׁנֵיהֶ֜ם אִ֤ישׁ חֲלֹמוֹ֙ בְּלַ֣יְלָה אֶחָ֔ד אִ֖ישׁ כְּפִתְר֣וֹן חֲלֹמ֑וֹ הַמַּשְׁקֶ֣ה וְהָאֹפֶ֗ה אֲשֶׁר֙ לְמֶ֣לֶךְ מִצְרַ֔יִם אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֲסוּרִ֖ים בְּבֵ֥ית הַסֹּֽהַר׃

한글(개역) 옥에 갇힌 애굽 왕의 술 맡은 자와 떡 굽는 자 두 사람이 하룻밤에 꿈을 꾸니 각기 몽조가 다르더라

영어(KJV) And they dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, which {were} bound in the prison.

40:6

히브리 וַיָּבֹ֧א אֲלֵיהֶ֛ם יוֹסֵ֖ף בַּבֹּ֑קֶר וַיַּ֣רְא אֹתָ֔ם וְהִנָּ֖ם זֹעֲפִֽים׃

한글(개역) 아침에 요셉이 들어가 보니 그들에게 근심 빛이 있는지라

영어(KJV) And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they {were} sad.

40:7

히브리 וַיִּשְׁאַ֞ל אֶת סְרִיסֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר אִתּ֧וֹ בְמִשְׁמַ֛ר בֵּ֥ית אֲדֹנָ֖יו לֵאמֹ֑ר מַדּ֛וּעַ פְּנֵיכֶ֥ם רָעִ֖ים הַיּֽוֹם׃

한글(개역) 요셉이 그 주인의 집에 자기와 함께 갇힌 바로의 관원장에게 묻되 당신들이 오늘 어찌하여 근심 빛이 있나이까 ?

영어(KJV) And he asked Pharaoh's officers that {were} with him in the ward of his lord's house, saying, Wherefore look ye {so} sadly to day? {look...: Heb. are your faces evil?}

40:8

히브리 וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֵלָ֔יו חֲל֣וֹם חָלַ֔מְנוּ וּפֹתֵ֖ר אֵ֣ין אֹת֑וֹ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֜ם יוֹסֵ֗ף הֲל֤וֹא לֵֽאלֹהִים֙ פִּתְרֹנִ֔ים סַפְּרוּ נָ֖א לִֽי׃

한글(개역) 그들이 그에게 이르되 `우리가 꿈을 꾸었으나 이를 해석할 자가 없도다' 요셉이 그들에게 이르되 `해석은 하나님께 있지 아니하나이까 ? 청컨대 내게 고하소서'

영어(KJV) And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and {there is} no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, {Do} not interpretations {belong} to God? tell me {them}, I pray you.

40:9

히브리 וַיְסַפֵּ֧ר שַֽׂר הַמַּשְׁקִ֛ים אֶת חֲלֹמ֖וֹ לְיוֹסֵ֑ף וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ל֔וֹ בַּחֲלוֹמִ֕י וְהִנֵּה גֶ֖פֶן לְפָנָֽי׃

한글(개역) 술 맡은 관원장이 그 꿈을 요셉에게 말하여 가로되 `내가 꿈에 보니 내 앞에 포도나무가 있는데

영어(KJV) And the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine {was} before me;
